Donors, beneficiaries, foundation board – what other bodies are there in a foundation?
FIn addition to the founder and beneficiaries, there is also the foundation board. This board manages the day-to-day business of the foundation. It is responsible for pursuing the foundation’s objectives and managing its assets, and represents the foundation in its external relations.
The advisory board or protector integrates one or more natural or legal persons into the foundation who are granted certain rights that are equal to or superior to those of the foundation board. The founder may appoint trusted individuals or beneficiaries to the advisory board or as protectors. The founder is free to determine the role to be assigned to the protectors.
