How long does it take for a fund to be authorised in Liechtenstein?

Share

In Liechtenstein, the law regulates the maximum duration of the authorisation procedure for UCITS funds. It may not exceed a period of 10 business days. In the case for alternative investment funds (AIF), it suffices to notify to the Financial Market Authority (FMA). Nevertheless, they are regulated and directly supervised. A distribution notification is required, if the AIF is intended for distribution. This is usually confirmed by the FMA within 4 to 5 business days (a maximum of 20 business days is permitted by law).
