How does a trust work?
In principle, a trust has the same function as a foundation. One important difference, however, is that a trust is not a legal entity. In the case of a trust, the trustor transfers movable or immovable property to a trustee with the obligation to administer it as trust property in his own name and as an independent legal entity for the benefit of one or more third parties, the beneficiaries, and to make distributions to the beneficiaries in accordance with the provisions of the trust deed. Both natural and legal persons can be trustees. However, they do not have the status of a governing body.
