How do you appoint a foundation board?
The foundation board consists of at least two members, natural or legal persons, nationals or foreigners, residing in Liechtenstein or abroad. The founder or beneficiary may also be a member of the foundation board. The foundation board must include a lawyer or a trustee licensed in Liechtenstein.
From the time of its establishment, the Foundation Board is the supreme body of the foundation. The Foundation Board manages the foundation’s affairs, represents it externally and is responsible for ensuring that the foundation’s purpose is fulfilled. Within the framework of the founder’s specifications, which are included in the foundation documents, the Foundation Board also makes distributions to the foundation’s beneficiaries.
