What is the Net Zero Banking Alliance?

The Net Zero Banking Alliance (NZBA) is an initiative of banks around the world committed to achieving net zero emissions from their lending and investment portfolios by 2050 at the latest. The aim is to combat climate change by channelling financial flows into sustainable and climate-friendly projects. The Liechtenstein Bankers Association and other banking institutions have been members of this initiative for many years.

This is particularly important as Liechtenstein and its internationally oriented financial centre seek to play a pioneering role in the area of sustainability.
