Liechtenstein does not have a Central Bank – what does that means for the FMA?
Liechtenstein has no central bank of its own. The Swiss National Bank is responsible for the country’s monetary policy, as Liechtenstein’s currency is also the Swiss franc. Certain central bank functions, such as the supervision of financial stability, are therefore performed by the Financial Market Authority in Liechtenstein.
