How is the Liechtenstein Financial Market Authority internationally networked?
The Liechtenstein Financial Market Authority is an internationally integrated and recognised Financial Market Authority that forms part of all bodies at the European level: EBA, EIOPA, ESMA and ESRB – a full member of the ESFS. The FMA is also represented in the relevant global bodies, such as IOSCO, IAIS or NGFS. In the scope of its membership in the IMF, the FMA assumes important tasks typically taken on by the central bank in other countries. Due to its legal mandate to guarantee financial stability, the FMA is also closely interconnected with other central banks – including, naturally, the Swiss National Bank (SNB).
