How are banks regulated in Liechtenstein?

Share

Liechtenstein banks are regulated in accordance with European standards due to the country’s membership of the EEA. This means that banks are subject to the same legal framework as banks in EU countries. Customers of Liechtenstein banks thus benefit both from internationally recognised financial market regulations such as MiFID and UCITS and from stability-promoting frameworks for banking supervision and their minimum requirements (CRD/Basel III).
