Tax and Sustainability Conference
Over the past decade, the intersection of taxation and sustainability has gained significant momentum.
Register nowThis shift is driven by growing expectations that tax systems should be fairer, more inclusive, and supportive of social and environmental justice. At the same time, aggressive – yet legal – corporate tax practices have intensified international debates and accelerated reforms of the global tax framework.
In parallel, many governments have adopted the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as guiding national strategies, prompting renewed attention to how economic models affect the environment and society. Among the many ways to address these challenges, tax policy can also help shape that transition.
This conference brings these developments together. Session 1 explores how taxation and sustainability interact, primarily from a policy perspective. Session 2 examines how sustainability considerations influence corporate decision-making, tax strategy, and reporting.
A quick-fire insights segment will then spotlight sustainability reporting experiences from Liechtenstein businesses. The conference concludes with Session 3, which focuses on sustainability-linked tax incentives and considers how targeted tax interventions can support both economic competitiveness and environmental objectives.
The conference will be conducted in English.
